If the artwork you envision proves elusive, why not consider commissioning a custom piece?
A commission allows you to provide detailed briefings on your specific requirements for a project or piece. Clients often seek personalized artworks, such as a cherished landscape, an artistic interpretation of a special photograph, an iconic scene, meaningful flowers, or a specific color palette in an abstract form—the possibilities are endless.
During an initial consultation at the studio, we assess the feasibility of your idea and discuss aspects like materials, style, size, framing, delivery, and pricing. If you wish to proceed, a one-third payment is required upfront. You will have the opportunity to view the work midway through the process, with a final reveal at the studio or online.
Begin by sharing your inspiring concept with me—there is no charge for the initial discussion.
Commissions are typically accepted in September/October, with limited slots available. To ensure completion by Christmas or a special event, contact us as early as possible.
This little puffin in watercolour and acrylic was sent as a memory of Scotland to a Scottish son now in Melbourne Australia. This customer has a large collection of my art , mainly flowers and including the original of the very popular Thistle painting “Thistles in the Morning” available in the shop as a print.
This customer wanted a seascape in portrait shape and specifically wanted a rusty colour in the scene to complement her new kitchen.
